How can we draw upon our contemplative practice in challenging moments of stress and tension with others? When things get hard, how do we handle it?

Speech practice is one of the main ways to translate contemplative practice into life and relationships. In this daylong program, we’ll explore a range of tools for handling difficult conversations: how to get grounded in the midst of intense emotions; how to hold your own and respond skillfully in the face of aggressive speech; and how to transform your own negative emotions into powerful guides for action.

The day will include talks, sitting, movement and interactive speech practices.
